The silde
The metal slide has many sharp edges that give it a characteristic look.
In the upper part of the slide is cut out in a characteristic way, which emphasizes the aggressive look of the replica while lightening it by a few grams.
There are two interesting solutions used on the inside of the slide. The first is a roller that works with the internal hammer. The second is a rubber washer on the return spring rod. Both features improve the movement of the slide during shooting.
The sights
The front and the real sight are made of metal. They have white markings which facilitate aiming in limited visibility conditions. The signs are applied with plain white paint - they do not emit any phosphorous light in the dark.
In the Internet you can find information that the sights are fixed. This is not true, because the front sight can be adjusted horizontally.
To adjust it, you have to loosen a small Allen screw. The front sight is moved in the guides by hand. Because the guides are very tight, a gentle tap may be necessary to move the move it. The adjustment process is neither convenient nor precise and the desired effect can only be obtained by trial and error.
The external barrel
The metal external barrel ends with a counterclockwise 12 mm thread designed for mounting a silencer. The replica works well with a dedicated G&G BB tracer unit, which is not a sound suppressor, but it looks very similar to one from the outside.
The frame
The composite frame is formed into a Picatinny rail at the front and can be use for mounting a tactical flashlight or a laser sight.
The grip is an integral part of the frame.
Both rear parts of the grip have a very pronounced texture, which guarantees a secure grip of the gun.
The rear part is removable. In the set with the pistol we get a second one of a slightly differently shape, intended for shooters with larger hands.
Taking this part off does not require any tools - it is enough to move it downwards, towards the magazine well. It also contains a compartment for holding a special key for adjusting the Hop-Up. To remove they key you have to press it lightly. The spring hidden inside will extend the key so that it is easy to grab it with your fingers. After putting it back in its place, the key does not stick out and does not hook on anything. Of course, it is possible to lose it, but the way its is secured seem well designed. During repeated attempts, we were unable to remove the key accidentally.
An excellent idea is the fact that in the set we get one key in each of the rear parts of the grip. First of all, you do not have to remember in which one the key is currently stored therefore you do not have to swap the key between grips, and secondly, if we loose one key, we are still left with a spare one.
