The annual MOA fair is currently underway in Taipei, Taiwan. We're here. We watch, photograph, ask questions. Here is the first part of our report from the expo.
Some new products were presented at the ICS stand. Its no surprise, because they have all been announced, but some of them were shown in public for the first time.
A brand new steel MP5: CES-P, here in the A5 version.
The receiver is made of pressed steel sheet. Ejection port operated by the charging handle and the HopUp adjustment done with a sliding lever (like in an AK).
Selector switch with 4 settings: safe/semi/burst/auto. Thanks to the second-generation SSS E-Trigger system, all modes work and the response to the trigger pull is very fast.
Place for the battery in the hangaurd, which is typical.
Inside, a two-part gearbox with 8 mm bearings and a quick spring change system, reinforced internal parts, the already mentioned E-Trigger system, 230 mm inner barrel and an M120 spring. Muzzle velocity is about 400 fps. Weight: 2600 g (A5).
The new AK: the CXP-ARK
Steel sheet receiver. SCAR like stock, Magpul like handguard, AR like flash hider. The adjustable stock can be folded to the right. It has an adjustable cheek pad. Inside there is space for a battery.
The way of routing and protecting the wires still needs some work.
Under the cover, which has an integrated Picatinny rail, is a large and heavy dummy bolt carrier (without EBB) moving on a strong, high mounted guide rod. Access to HopUp adjustment is convenient. The HU chamber is standard.
In the photo above it is worth noting what the cutout in the safety/selector lever is for. Simple and comfortable. The lever has an additional "wing" for easy, one-finger operation.
Contrary to expectations, there is no revolution inside. The design of the two-part V3 gearbox, abandoned by ICS years ago, did not return. There are reinforced parts and electronic controls (E-Trigger ver. 2). There is no setting on the receiver, but the replica also shoots in bursts (short pull of the trigger in full-auto mode).
The CXP-MARS PDW9 - a representative of the most fashionable trend this year, the AR-15 pistol - "an AR-15 for pistol ammunition"
A modern and aggressive looking receiver with a magwell for narrow pistol magazines (there are also replicas with standard lower receiver and adapters installed in the magwell). Double-sided manipulators. Bolt catch transferred to the magwell, in front of the trigger guard.
Place for the battery in the stock.
Inside is a two-part gearbox using 8mm bearings, has a quick spring change system and blowback (EBB). Internal parts the same as in the CXP-ARK. The E-Trigger and a "quick" trigger with burst and pre-cocking.
The included magazine is a hi-cap holding 330 BBs. There are also plans for a mid-cap. Barrel length is 160 mm, the weight is 2692g. Muzzle velocity is around 330 fps.
The Sarsilmaz SAR 9 - a licensed GBB pistol
A replica of the Turkish SAR 9 pistol, with a design that affects accuracy and gas consumption, shown for the first time in public. Similar to the already known Korth replicas, the SAR 9 barrel is fixed - only the slide moves when firing.
Unusual HopUp adjustment (the shiny screw). You will need a sharp nail or a tool. Tests have shown that the adjustment is precise and the system itself has proved to be very sensitive.
New generation valves - REVO. Additional replaceable grip back panel included. Barrel length is 104 mm, the weight is 750g. Magazine capacity is 22 BBs. Muzzle velocity is about 300 fps
