Last Friday Gunfire has informed at its FB about receiving a delivery of replicas and parts from Ares. It contained the long-unavailable replicas of the L1A1 SLR rifle, i.e. the British FN FAL clone. Two rifle versions are currently on available: with a stock and a handguard made of wood and polymer.

Magazine capacity: 120 BBs, muzzle velocity: 370 fps. A somewhat concerning piece of information in the description states that the replicas are adapted for 7.4V batteries while at the Ares website it is written that 11.1V batteries are appropriate. Does the "Japanese version" offered by Gunfire differ only in reduced muzzle velocity due to local regulations?

Like the real rifles, Ares replicas shoot only with single fire (although after replacing the safety/selector lever you can "restore" the full-auto mode). It is different than in the case of the competitive King Arms product, which also fire in both modes out of the factory. By the way, King Arms has already announced that is is resuming production of the L1A1 and the FN FAL replicas . Below we present the L1A1 KA for comparison:
