The Taiwanese Star Rainbow Company is not particularly popular in Poland and replicas of this manufacturer are rare. This does not change the fact that SRC has been present at all major exhibition events for years, and their stands are often large and have much to show. It was similar in December at MOA, where SRC showed 4 very similar replicas from the new Falcon line.
The Falcons distinguishing feature is their new configuration. The replica is powered by a gearbox which steel (CNC machined, not sintered) gears with a 22:1 ratio are mounted on 8 mm ball bearings and the piston has full steel teeth. In addition, there is a quick spring change system and a factory installed mosfet.
At MOA, essentially 2 versions of Falcons, differing in the length of the inner barrel, handgaurd and type of stock, were shown. The Falcon Z is shorter, it has a 150 mm long barrel, a short M-LOK handguard and a PDW type stock. The Falcon W has a 225 mm long barrel, a slightly longer handguard (also M-LOK) and a full-size telescopic stock. Instead of flash hiders, both models are equipped with dummy gas concentrators. The series is complemented by two more models additionally marked with the letter S (Falcon ZS and WS) equipped with silencers.
In our opinion, the most interesting p-art of the Falcons is the "pistol" magazine adapter visible in the pictures. It is a separate part attached to the replica like a standard AR-15 (STANAG) magazine, into which pistol magazines are then inserted. The advantage of this solution is that the replica can be feed, without any modifications, from both types of magazines. The red arrow indicates the button used to exchange the pistol magazine when the adapter is connected to the replica. The green arrow is the place where the adapter attaches to the standard AR-15 magazine latch - the adapter can be detached from the replica in a traditional way.
The adapter can of course be detached with or without a pistol magazine attached - it looks as if the shooter went from using 9 mm to 5.56 mm ammunition on the fly. It does not serve any real purpose, but it looks good (see the video).

Another new SRC product shown at MOA is the Diamondback rifle which, like the Falcons, belongs to the SR4 ST series.
According to what we have heard from the company's representatives they will present more info at IWA 2020.
