On June 20–28, 2025, the IPSC European Shotgun Championships, one of the most important practical shooting events in Europe, took place in Buzsák, Hungary. The competition was hosted by the modern LZ Range shooting range, located near Lake Balaton. The event was attended by around 500 competitors from over 40 countries, who competed for several days on 24 different tracks, requiring not only precision and reflexes, but also excellent physical and mental preparation. During the championships, competitors had to cope not only with difficult tracks, but also with extreme weather conditions - temperatures reaching up to 40 degrees Celsius were a serious challenge for all participants.
IPSC practical shooting is a dynamic sport in which competitors must compete with tracks of various configurations, targets placed at different ranges, and time constraints. Three elements are of key importance here: accuracy, strength and speed - all in accordance with the IPSC federation motto: Diligentia, Vis, Celeritas.
The Polish team achieved excellent results in these conditions. Our country was represented by 73 Ladies and Gentlemen (and several judges), our competitors showed great determination, excellent concentration and high shooting skills, which resulted in winning numerous medals in both the individual and team classifications. Poles stood on the podium in several categories, including the prestigious Open and Standard competitions, as well as in the age and women's categories. It is impossible not to notice that Poles dominated the Standard Manual class and the Modified class in the Women category, in which we took the entire podium.
Both individual competitors and Polish teams presented a level that places our country among the strict European leaders in practical shooting. This success is the result of hard work, systematic training and the commitment of the entire shooting community. The European Championships in Hungary showed that despite difficult conditions and strong competition, the white and reds can effectively fight for the highest goals.
