Taipei will once again become one of the most important places on the global airsoft map this December. MOA EXPO, whose history dates back to 2017, will be held for the tenth time this year. Together with the Range Day preceding the expo, the event will run from December 2 to 6, and organizers have already begun selling tickets. MOA EXPO is an event focused on the airsoft industry and related sectors (optics, tactical equipment, as well as night vision and thermal imaging), combining an exhibition area with space for testing new products. According to the organizer, since its inception the event has brought together more than 100 brands and manufacturers from over 30 countries and regions, primarily in Asia, but also from Europe.
The growing importance of MOA is not accidental. For years, one of the most important events on the calendar for the broadly understood shooting industry was IWA OutdoorClassics in Nuremberg. In the case of airsoft, however, geography is playing an increasingly important role. A significant portion of the global industry associated with replicas, parts, and accessories is concentrated in Asia, and Taiwan is one of the most important hubs for this market. Holding a major industry event in this region allows manufacturers and distributors to meet closer to one of the main production centers, without having to transport an entire exhibition to Europe.
The scale of this year's event is illustrated by the list of confirmed exhibitors. Among them are VegaForceCompany, GHK, LCT Airsoft, ICS Airsoft, KRYTAC, ARES Airsoft, Classic Army, King Arms, PTS, Vector Optics, SPECNA ARMS, and Novritsch, and these represent only a fraction of the full list.
This does not mean, however, that MOA is replacing IWA. IWA covers a much broader segment of the shooting, outdoor, and equipment industries, unlike MOA, which focuses primarily on airsoft. This year's event will begin on December 2 with MOA Range Day. The two-day event will run through December 3 and will take place in Conference Room 1 on the second floor of Taipei World Trade Center Hall 1. Range Day allows players, media representatives, professional buyers, and industry representatives to familiarize themselves with new products before the official opening of the exhibition. The organizer promises presentations, the opportunity to test and fire the products, product launches, and direct contact with manufacturers.
After two days of Range Day, the main MOA EXPO will begin. The exhibition will take place from December 4 to 6 at Taipei World Trade Center Hall 1. This year, organizers have prepared three ticket options: a 3-Day Pass, providing multiple admission to the expo on all three days; a Range Day Pass; and a Combo Pass, covering both Range Day and the three-day MOA EXPO. Presale of all ticket types will continue until the end of the day on November 15, 2026. Tickets are personalized and must be collected at the on-site service desk upon presentation of an identity document. Once payment has been made, tickets cannot be refunded or exchanged.
The tenth edition of MOA EXPO will be another test of the expo's growing position in the international airsoft market. Although IWA remains an important event for the broader shooting industry, it is becoming increasingly difficult for replica users to view the trade show calendar solely through the lens of Europe.
