Shown at the end of last year, Kythera is now available in pre-order in some online stores. PolarStar Kythera SA is a new HPA system designed from the ground up. This is not a modification or a development version of solutions already available on the market, but a completely new high-performance mechanical system without a solenoid control valve.
In addition to the completely mechanical design, the unique feature of the new solution is the trigger mechanism with the ability to adjust its hardness and reset, which resembles firearms' mechanisms.
Working pressure is 60 to 180 psi, which translates into a muzzle velocity ranging from from 270 to 500 fps using 0.2g BBs in a replica with a 380 mm long barrel with the inner diameter of 6.05 mm.
Price at PolarStar website: 290 USD. Dedicated versions for the AR-15, AK and AR-10 replicas (with the V2 long type gearboxes - e.g. SR-25) will also be available.
