As announced, today two new Specna Arms replicas became available. They are modeled after one of the earlier versions of the HK416 carbine, the D model. Two versions of the replica are initially available: the SA-H20 with a 10-inch barrel (almost like HK416D10RS) and the SA-H21 with a 14-inch barrel (like the D145RS).
The inner barrels are 290 and 390 mm long, respectively. Their inner diameter is 6.03 mm. On the mechanical side, the replicas are identical. Both are powered by a gearbox made in the EDGE 2.0 specification, which is simply the EDGE model with a factory-fitted ASTER programmable control system made by Gate (the first EDGE generation had a simple X-ASR mosfet was installed).
Internal parts used:
- a reinforced polymer piston with full steel teeth
- an aluminum, sealed nozzle
- an aluminum, double-sealed cylinder head
- an aluminum, double-sealed piston head with bearings
- bearing spring guide
- a set of steel gears
- 8 mm ball bearings
- a high torque motor
According to the manufacturer's declaration, the replicas were tested with an M140 springs and worked without problems. The factory muzzle velocity is 320/380 fps (we get 2 springs in the set).
Speaking of springs... The new H series also has a new, tool-free spring replacement system that does not require pulling the gearbox out of the replica's lower receiver. Access is obtained after removing the buffer tube.
The ASTER module is not new - it debuted on the market a few months ago. Its features are:
- protection against reverse battery polarity
- optical sensors in place of a mechanical contact switch
- 250 trigger sensitivity settings
- configurable using the trigger or the GATE Control Station application on a computer and/or mobile devices
- a built-in RGB LED for easy programming of the system
Unfortunately, some functions are available only from the Control Station application, and you need to purchase an additional USB-link to connect it to the replica.
The replicas are supplied with, among other things, the, already mentioned, 2 springs and 2 mid-cap magazines (S-mag) holding 125 BBs.
