We have just received information that the brand new LCT Airsoft products will appear in the near future. We are talking about a whole family of suppressors for AK system replicas with a built-in BB tracer.
As you can see in the posters, two of them are shaped like classic PBS-1 (AKM / AKMS) and PBS-4 (AKS-74U) silencers, and the other two belong to the relatively fresh Z series modeled after ZenitCo products. All are powered from a permanently built-in battery and charged via a micro USB output. There will also be two lines of fluorescent BBs available: the Precision line (0.2 and 0.25 g - each in red and green) and the broader Bio line (0.2, 0.23, 0.25, 0.28, 0.3 and 0.32 g - only in green).
The PBS-4 and the ZDT-4 will be available for purchase with a standard 14 mm CCW or 24 mm CC threads. The PBS-1 will be available only with a 14mm CCW thread, and the ZDTK only with a 24 mm CW thread.
The most important feature of new tracer units is that they have not lost their sound suppressing properties. The BB illuminating element occupies only a part of the space inside the device. The remaining space acts as a sound suppressing chamber. Of course, it won't be quiet, but the difference in sound will certainly be noticeable. The second important feature, according to the manufacturer's statement, is that the units are supposed to work with replicas with a rate of fire of up to 30 rps, which will most certainly require the use of "dedicated" BBs.
Along with the information about the trace units, we got the following video, where at some point you can see some footage of them:
