In the spring of 2020, the first CYMA replicas, modeled after the "classic" early versions of the AR-15 that were in use during the Vietnam War have appeared on the market. Back then we were considerably surprised that CYMA has once again released very successful replicas to the market. We gave especially high praise to the degree of reproduction of the details of the real firearms - the replicas were not perfect, but they really lack very little. More information on this subject can be found here: LINK.
Last week several identical-looking replicas appeared at Taiwangun, but as we have found out, these are not the same carbines, but their next release.
There are currently 4 versions to choose from;
The full-sized early Colt M603 (the M16A1 progenitor)
the XM177E1
the XM177E2
and the M653 with a 14.5" long barrel
The difference between the already known versions and the new ones lies in the internal mechanism, which in the described replicas is built according to the E-Edition specification. They are equipped, among other things, with an electronic control system.
The full specification looks like this:
- V2 gearbox with the possibility of quick spring replacement (spring guide screwed into the lower receiver);
- the already mentioned electronic control system with built-in mosfet;
- a polymer piston with full steel teeth;
- steel (sintered) gears mounted on 8 mm bearings;
- a set of aluminum heads - a "silent" bearing piston head, a double sealed cylinder head);
- a bearing spring guide
- a motor with increased torque.
Muzzle velocity: 400 fps with the possibility of free downgrade to 360 or 300 fps. A hi-cap magazine for 160 (short typo) or 320 BBs included.
The replicas of the E-Edition series are only slightly more expensive than the "regular" versions - currently the difference is about 14 EUR.
