The recently announced replicas of the legendary Minimi LMG, also known as the M249 Squad Automatic Weapon, have just hit the shelves of the Gunfire store.
There are four models available in two color versions - black and tan. The offered replicas include full-size models with long barrels and fixed MK1 and MK2 stocks, and models with shortened barrels and folding stocks, i.e. the Para and the Mk46 versions.
Contrary to the most popular full steel models on the market so far, Specna Arms products are largely based on a polymer construction. This material was used to make the receiver, the receiver cover with the RIS rail, the front sight with its base, the stock, the box magazine and the pistol grip.
The metal parts include the handguard with a set of RIS rails (in the Mk46 version), the outer barrel, the box magazine mount, the stock guide, the flash hider and the stock butt plate. The M249 Specna Arms also has several steel parts: the bipod, the outer barrel lock, the stock rest, the trigger guard, the transport handle and all pins and mounting elements.
The replicas are equipped with a metal M249 gearbox with an M120 main spring, 8 mm ball bearings, a spring guide with a bearing, a set of steel gears, a metal, rotary hop-up chamber.
The set includes a plastic box magazine with a capacity of 2500 BBs, from which they are fed automatically, thanks to an electric mechanism powered by 2 AA batteries (not included).
The new Specna Arms machine guns are available for 280,80 EUR for the MK1, MK2 and Para models and PLN 304,22 EUR for the Mk46 variant.
