EMG (in collaboration with ARES) has announced pre-orders for the new EMG/Kel-Tec Licensed RDB17 Airsoft Bullpup AEG Rifle replica.
The replica naturally has its firearm equivalent, which is the 5.56 Kel-Tec RDB carbine (Rifle, Downward-ejection, Bullpup) and as the name states, the rifle, apart from being a bullpup design, has a specific direction of ejecting spent casings - downwards.
The replica is naturally fully licensed by the manufacturer of the real firearm, Kel Tec. The receiver of the new RDB17 replica is made of nylon fiber and the outer barrel and gas system are made of metal. It also has a double-sided safety/selector switch and magazine release.
The battery is placed in the handguard for easy access. The replica is equipped with accessory rails for mounting optics and other accessories.
Inside the replica you will find a 420mm long inner barrel, a dedicated gearbox with the ARES E.F.C.S system using 8mm bearings, with a quick spring change function, a built-in mosfet and a microswitch trigger.
The replica is also equipped with a rotary hop up chamber and the entire system generates a muzzle velocity of 390-420 fps. The rifle is feed by standard M4/M16 magazines - the manufacturer states that Matrix, G&P, Tokyo Marui and other products of this standard are compatible.
In the set comes with two midcap magazines for 130 and 100 BBs as standard.
The co-production of EMG and ARES is expected to hit store shelves in July 2021 and the price in the just-announced pre-order is $ 319. The replicas will be available in black, sand and olive green.
