The East Crane replica manufacturer, based in Hong Kong, has prepared new products. This time, these are quite fresh designs. Of course, we are talking about the HK416 rifles which are derived from the AR-15 platform based on a short-stroke piston system. In the case of replicas, despite the A7 and A8 variant designations, there are some inconsistencies that we will pay close attention to.

In both cases, we are dealing with classic safety/selector switch with 90 degree settings and classic pistol grips. In the latest A7 and A8 variants of the real firearm (G95 and G95A1/G95A1K), the settings have been changed to 45 degree to facilitate faster change and the already known grips have been replaced with new ones.

The changes in the outer barrel length are another hint. In the case of these replicas, these are not strictly faithful to the HK416 A7 and A8 versions but are equally interesting (and correctly reproduced) replicas of the A5 and the G38 variants, that later being a modified A5 version.

There are also different parts used in these two designs in the form quick detach handgaurds and a larger number of cutouts (presented by the piston assembly) in the G38, a simpler handguard in the A5 variant and the presence of a front sight on the barrel.

The replicas do have a correctly reproduced adjustable gas block, flat stock and a realistically presented piston assembly.
