SIG Sauer seems to be on a constant offensive. Not long ago, the company won a tender for a new handgun for the US Army, based on the SIG Sauer P320 model, marked M17.

There are also intense speculations about testing the MCX design, among others, by the CAG, and that the American military is interested in the MPX SMG.

On January 26, it was announced that SIG Sauer won a tender organized by USSOCOM for spotting scopes and mounts for them. The winning design was the TANGO6T 1-6 × 24 Second Focal Plane (SFP) Riflescope with the ALPHA4 Ultralight Mount.

The manufacturer's description indicates, among other things, the following features of the scope - a reinforced design made of aircraft grade aluminum, Flat Dark Earth (FDE) Anodized coating, a second focal plane, an illuminated reticle with settings for CQB operations or for long distances firing.

The ALPHA4 Ultralight Mount was specially designed for the above mentioned scope. It is also made of aluminum anodized in FDE color.

The contract is worth 12 million dollars a year over the next five years. The deliveries will end in 2023  and parts for the optics sets ordered will be manufactured at the SIG Sauer Electro-Optics factory in Oregon.
