On its Facebook profile, Novritsch has published a short video in which it promotes a new product, a custom wooden SSG24 rifle stock. And it seems that it does it very effectively, because of the four versions that it introduced a few days ago to the offer of its store, only two are still available. The first ones sold out were modeled after the British L96 and Russian SV98 rifles. The ones left are similar to the SSG24 for the American M40 (Remington M700) rifles, both available in teakwood or rosewood.
The SSG24 almost like the L96
The SSG24 almost like the SV98
The SSG24 almost like the M40-66
In the descriptions of the above photos I used the word "almost", because on each of them the barrel and the chamber comes straight from the SSG24 (which is based in the M24 rifle). So these are not strictly replicas of the L96, the SV98 or the M40, but rifles stylized to look like them.
For example, an early model of real SV98 with a plywood stock (not solid wood).
Prices:
L96 - €275
M40-66 - €185 (teak) or €235 (rosewood)
SV98 - €275
Shipping cost should be added to all prices.
Novritsch presentation:
The manufacturer of the stocks is Taring Carving company of which Novritsch does not make a secret. It is worth noting that TC has several other products in its offer. Until recently, even the SV98 stock was available for the budget MB01 and MB08 by Well. Maybe they will available again?
