According to the manufacturer's announcement, the second, slightly improved batch of replicas will be distributed any day. Some stores are still accepting orders, although delivery is delayed by more than a month. In other stores, as in, for example Tiger111, SMGs from the first batch are still available.
The replica is not new. The first information about it appeared at the end of 2017. Below is a film showing one of the prototypes in action:
Stena Northeast finally arrived at stores in the second half of 2018. They are made entirely of steel. The finish and anticorrosive protection are applied by an electrochemical method (phosphating) which gives a perfect matte gray effect. It is disassembled in the same way as the real version.
Basic parameters:
- overall length: 755 mm;
- weight: 3.22 kg;
- magazine capacity: 32 balls;
- power supply: green gas;
- muzzle velocity: around 320 fps (using 0.2 g BBs).
HopUp is adjustable, the replica shoots in single fire and full-auto modes. The HopUp bucking and the inner barrel are made in the VSR standard.

And a few photos showing perfectly made details. Even such trivial things of welds were recreated :)
Prices in online stores: around 340 USD (Asia) or even 350 GBP (Great Britain). Of course, without shipping costs and other fees.
For comparison, the Sten SMGs made by those ladies:
were probably a bit cheaper. Even after adjusting the value of the Pound. The chart below is taken from Historycy.org forum, from a thread dealing with the prices of weapons:
Sten Mk.I (BSA, Singer - 1942) - 4.36 GBP
Sten Mk.I* (BSA - 1943) - 2.82 GBP
Sten Mk.II (ROF Fazakerley - 1944) - 1.7 GBP (but probably so cheap due to the fact that it was a state-owned company)
Sten Mk.II kanadyjski - 13.55 USD (but I do not know if those should not be CAD)
Sten Mk.II lub III brytyjski z 1943 - 2.8 GBP (other data - 10.99 USD)
Sten Mk.V - 19.81 USD
And here is a fragment of a WWII British chronicle film showing the production of Sten SMGs :
p.s.
The production of Sten SMGs was also carried out in occupied Poland in conspiracy and in many workshops. Those interested should Google it out.
