SIG P365 BB is a 4.5 mm caliber airgun powered by CO2 capsules shooting steel round shots. The gun has a metal slide, fixed fluorescent sights and a magazine for 12 rounds. According to SIG Air assurances, a powerful blowback mechanism, dimensions and weight are similar to the real gun (0.36 kg) allow the use of the P365 BB in self-defense training exercises interchangeably with a real one.
The second interesting product is the MCX Virtus pneumatic carbine chambered for the .22 caliber shots, which is a variation on the MCX Virtus Patrol model which is powered by the 5.56x45 mm (.223 REM) round.
It is a PCP design, i.e. having a built-in high pressure air tank. In the picture below, you can see the tank that also acts as a buttstock. This solution is noting new as for many years is has been used in airguns, paintball markers, RAMs and airsoft replicas with an HPA system. The maximum pressure is 3000 psi. You can shot about 150 equally powerful shots from one fill.
The magazine holds 30 .22 caliber pellets with a weight of 12.36 g each. The muzzle velocity is 700 fps and the energy close to 15 J.
For us the most interesting information regards the ProForce MCX Virtus AEG replica which is expected to be available by the end of July this year.
