We write about Strike Industries from time to time due to their interesting and innovative firearms accessories.
For some time, the SI company has been introducing GLOCK pistol compensators to the market, that do not require replacing the pistol barrel with an external thread for mounting a silencer/compensator.
The latest SI compensator for Glock gen 3 pistols is a model called the Mass Driver.
Like previous models, the Mass Driver also does not require the use of an externally threaded barrel, because it uses the extended return spring rod and the return spring which are included in the set.
An interesting feature of this product is that, in addition to compensating for the muzzle climb and reducing recoil by diverting gases sideways and upwards through the slits cut out in it, the device also acts as a counterweight moving in the opposite direction to the recoil when firing. Gases coming out of the barrel push the Mass Driver compensator forward, which then retracts thanks to its own return spring.
The Strike Industries Mass Driver compensator is available in two sizes - standard and compact. The standard version fits Glock G17 and G31 pistols, and the Compact model works with Glock G19 and G32 pistols. These compensators are made of milled (CNC) steel and have a manganese phosphate finish. The dimensions of the compensator remain do not exceed the outline of the slide, so that the guns are equipped with the Mass Driver are compatible with most holsters with an open bottom. Properly profiled edges also reduce the risk of the compensator getting jammed in equipment or clothing.
The compensator can be purchased for 79.99 USD.
