At the end of September, we found out that work is underway on the next generation of Specna Arms replicas modeled after the HK416 rifles. We published this information, which was confirmed at source HERE (LINK).
Now we have been able to find out more about the replicas that are in the making.
Firstly - the new H series, similar to the AK series announced just a few days ago, will be made in accordance with the EDGE specification. The H series replicas with have the next generation Orion greaboxes installed, which will feature a new quick spring change system. This method is somewhat similar to the currently used SAEC system but, as we have been informed, it is a separate solution. Other internal parts are in accordance with the EDGE specification:
- 8 mm ball bearings;
- steel (sintered) gears;
- a piston with full steel teeth;
- a set of aluminum heads with double O-rings (cylinder and piston);
- ball bearings on the piston head and the spring guide;
- an aluminum nozzle with an O-ring.
A new feature is to be the use of a high torque motor.
The replicas will also feature a low-resistance electrical installation with an electronic system by GATE.
Secondly, apart from the gearbox, the external parts will be made with quality and attention to detail in mind, a characteristic feature of the EDGE line. As we were informed, the H series replicas will be made on the same production line (previously it was different).
The replicas of the H EDGE series are modeled after the previous generation the HK rifle (not the A5). Two S-mag magazines (mid-caps) will be supplied with the replica. The price has not yet been given, but it will probably be close to the prices of currently available EDGE models. Replicas should appear on the shelves in the first quarter of next year.
