Thanks to Gunfire we had the opportunity to see the early prototype of the E&L carbine modeled after the HK146A5.
According to the information provided to us, the replica will be powered by a mechanism known from currently available E&L replicas from the Platinum series. The internal parts are:
- a reinforced frame with 9mm ball bearings and a quick spring release system;
- a QSR (Quick Spring Release) spring guide with a bearing;
- steel gears made using CNC technology;
- a steel cylinder;
- a nozzle with an O-ring;
- a silenced piston head;
- low resistance wires;
- a High Torque M170 motor using neodymium magnets.
In addition, the replica will have a MOSFET installed. As we have learned, this is an original E&L module.
The hop up chamber is known for currently produced replicas:
Under the precisely made handguard there is a dummy gas system with a piston. Most of the parts, including the outer barrel and the flash hider, are made of steel.
The presented unit has been a temporarily mounted standard E&L AR-15 stock and pistol grip. Ultimately, both of these parts are to be replaced with new ones, modeled after the original ones. Several other parts are not ready yet - see the gas regulator. Of course, they will look differently in the final version.
All photos of the prototype can be found in the gallery below. The release date has not been given yet. It is also unknown if there will be a RAL8000 version available.
