G&G has started delivering its latest replica - the Cobalt Kinetics BAMF licensed rifle. We have already written about it several times, and even saw it at IWA 2019.
The replica is powered by a reinforced V2 gearbox, in which an electronic programmable control system with a MOSFET is installed. The muzzle velocity is about 400 fps. The rifle's unique feature is an innovative function of an automatic release of the magazine. Not only does the mechanism stops working when the magazine is empty but the said magazine also drops out of the magwell. This function is useful in dynamic shooting, but slightly less so on an airsoft battlefield. Fortunately, the user can turn it off.
The patent itself is very sophisticated and interesting. It is a purely mechanical solution, without any sensors. G&G has long been producing magazines with an elongated BB pusher, which feeds all the BBs into the HopUp chamber. In the second generation of these magazines, the follower at the highest point moves the lever inside the magazine, which cuts off the replica's power - the replica does not fire. Another lever has been added to BAMF magazines which, when the follower is in the highest position, pushes the magazine out of the socket. No electronics. The whole mechanism is inside the magazine.
The animation below shows, among other things, how this mechanism works:

The price is unlikely to be low and will probably exceed 400 USD. But Cobalt Kinetics is a premium brand. In Poland, BAMF firearms can cost nearly 30,000 PLN. Interestingly though, at the end of October Cobalt Kinetics has announced a suspension of their production.
Below are two videos presenting the new replicas. The first video is by TorontoAirsoft, the second one, which is a bit long, by ArisoftMike:

And finally, in the form of trivia - "recoilless" shooting of the sporting Cobalt Kinetics:
