While working on the Sig Sauer MCX Virtus by VFC, which extensive review we will publish soon, we came across such interesting replicas on the Internet:
These are Cyma AEG replicas, marked as (from the top) CM001CBK, CM001BK and CM001BBK. The description includes additional information - a "Sig style M4". We were unable to confirm whether they are the new 55X (556) carbines or a continuation of previous models with minimal external modifications, made some time ago for Cybergun. The second possibility seems very likely to us. The replicas are full metal. Price at the Octagon store (HK) is 270-295 USD, depending on the version. In Japan, it is about 180 USD.
We have found a tan version with markings in one of the Japanese stores.
The Sig 556 is an interesting alternative to replicas of the AR-15 system - it looks different, but uses the same magazines. And most importantly, it is built using a V3 gearbox, which makes it technically closer to a G36 than an M4 replica, with all airsoft specific consequences.
We have not found the CM001BK in Polish stores, but you can still buy the latest Sig Sauer 556 by Cybergun for about 200 EUR which, despite the license, does not have the correct markings.
