In mid-December we informed about the appearance of Cyma M4 QBS at Evike.com(link) which, if we were to believe the descriptions on the store's website, are slightly poorer versions of the Cyma CM.097X high-cycle series, available Taiwangun, which we have already reviewed (link). The QBS and the CM.097X differ primarily by a slightly different gearbox configuration - in the QBS there is no electronic control module with a MOSFET nor a set of "silent" heads. Our info ended with a mention that the Helios Umbrella Corporation licensed replicas were also available at Evike, which are based on the same mechanism as the QBS.

Recently, the carbines with the Umbrella logo have also appeared at Taiwangun. These are the Umbrella Corporation WGR AR-15 replicas with different lengths of handguards and barrels. The handguards are 10, 13 and 14.5 inches long, and the internal barrels that come with them are 295, 370 and 400 mm long respectively.

Identical to the Helios replicas from Evike, the  WGRs have licensed classic lower receivers (copies cast one) and modern "milled" upper receiver, handguards in the M-LOK system and telescopic stocks with space for a battery (its the same as in the Cyma CM.097X). The characteristic licensed pistol grips are also the same. The difference, in favor of the replicas available in Poland, concerns the gearbox. Taiwangun's information shows that their Umbrellas are equipped with exactly the same gearbox as the CM.097X series, with "silent" heads and electronics. Other important parts of the gearbox are 13:1 ratio steel (CNC) gears with, a piston with a full steel teeth and quick spring change from the outside. The whole is driven by a high speed motor. The set lacks only a sealed nozzle. This configuration guarantees above-average rate of fire - around 25 rps.

The carbines generate 360 fps. A mid-cap magazine for 160 BBs is included. The price slightly higher than technically identical CM.097X models.
