Smith & Wesson expands the Bodyguard 2.0 series – new Carry Comp model

Smith & Wesson has introduced another variant of the Bodyguard 2.0 pistol – the Performance Center Bodyguard 2.0 Carry Comp. This subcompact pistol chambered in the .380 ACP, designed for concealed carry, has received improvements that improve ergonomics and control while shooting. The manufacturer has equipped it with the Carry Comp® system with rhe PowerPort™ barrel, which reduces recoil and muzzle flip, facilitating rapid follow-up shots.

The new Bodyguard 2.0 features a 3.1-inch ported stainless steel barrel with the Armornite® coating, and a steel slide with the Performance Center Grey Armornite® finish. The slim, textured grip provides a secure grip, and the flat trigger with a pronounced break enhances shooting accuracy. The model is available with or without a manual safety, as well as with 10-round magazines – for states with magazine capacity restrictions.

As standard, the pistol is supplied with two magazines (10- and 12-round) and factory Ameriglo® Night Sights: a tritium front sight with a yellow dot and a black, contrasting rear sight. With a retail price of $549 in the US, the Bodyguard 2.0 Carry Comp has the potential to be an attractive proposition for those looking for a lightweight, modern, and effective pistol for everyday personal defense.
