The well-known and proven PT5 shooter belts have a second generation. The company has announced the introduction of the GEN2 belt on its fan-page.
The main changes, relative to GEN1, are:
- Hard Velcro sewn on the outer belt
- The first cell moved above the cut for releasing the inner belt, which significantly increased its strength
- Shifting the inner velcro to the upper edge to increase the stiffness in this part of the belt
Below is the description taken from the website of one of the Templars Gear distributors:
"Templars Gear PT5 Low Profile Belt GEN.2 is a compact tactical belt, designed as a minimalist platform for comfortable carrying of weapons, pouches and light equipment. The PT5 kit includes an external, through belt overlay with laser cut slots in the MOLLE system, designed for mounting holsters, pouches and other containers. In addition, there are vertical incisions along the entire length of the belt that facilitate the interlacing of the inner belt and allow the installation of holsters incompatible with the MOLLE system. Four patches with Velcro help stabilize the outer belt, similar to sports or patrol belts. The overlay requires the use of an inner belt with a maximum width of 45 mm."
The belt is sold without an inner belt.
The new belts will be available in all colors and camouflages offered by Templars Gear, including woodland.
