With the import of the civilian version of the MP5 submachine gun into the US, i.e. the SP5, a real boom for this weapon began in the States. The MP5 rarely warms the store shelves, "entering" the store through one door and almost immediately "leaving" through the other.
Americans, known for their passion for modifications, personalization and improvement of weapons, made attempts to "modernize" the SP5. One of the companies offering accessories for the legendary MP5 from Oberndorf is the well-known (and liked?) Magpul.
The accessories catalog opens with handguards (naturally in the M-Lok system) in two lengths - for the standard MP5/SP5 and the HK94 carbine, and a shorter one for the MP5K/SP5K. The price at the manufacturer's website is 49.95 USD and available color is black only.
The next item is a double-sided polymer-steel safety/selector switch. Below is a photo showing the selector's compatibility with HK MP5 trigger types. The accessory is available for 49.95 USD.
The last on the list of new Magpul MP5 accessories is the grip and trigger chamber assembly. The grip has a characteristic Magpul texture and pictograms indicating the position of the selector known from the original MP5 series. The grip is also equipped with a well-known storage compartment for oil, batteries or other small accessories from the MIAD/MOE series.
The SL Grip Module is expected to be available in June at 59.95 USD.
