Strike Industries is still trying to gain wider recognition as a manufacturer of firearm parts and accessories. It seems that it is on the right track, broadening its portfolio with the GRIDLOK handguard for the HK 416/MR223 rifles.
The photos posted by the SI company on their fan page show that the handguard has aggressive looking ports ensuring good heat dissipation from the barrel and reducing the weight of the weapon. The new product is equipped with the M Lok accessory mounting system, which has de facto became a current standard.
The handguard is attached to the rifle with a single bolt like other aftermarket HK416 handguards made by this and other companies. On both sides of the GRIDLOK rail, two QD points for mounting the carrying sling are present. The accessory is designed for rifles with a 14.5 inch barrel and it is not known whether there will be a version for weapons with shorter barrels.
The manufacturer has presented the handguard in black and FDE colors. The price and release date have not been announced.
