The trailer for the latest installment of the popular Battlefield series made its debut on the Internet several hours ago. As the subject of the game is undoubtedly related to military technology, inspired by media reports, we decided to take a look at the equipment and weapons that the BF2042 player will be able use.
And so, on the somewhat futuristic tanks, you can see a venerable .50 cal heavy machine gun, the M2HB. This iconic weapon appears in virtually every Battlefield game. Ma Duce will probably survive everything... just like the Colt 1911.
Staying with machine guns, in the hands of one of the BF2042 operators we can see something that resembles a weapon of the Sig Sauer company that has been entered into the latest and largest US ARMY weapons exchange program of the last couple of year, the Next Generation Squad Weapon.
It seems that the weapon the soldier is wielding in his hands is the SIG MCX SPEAR rifle.
Sig Sauer weapons are generally presented in games more often. Titles such as Call of Duty Warzone or Ghost Recon Breakpoint are just two notable examples.
Another light machine gun that has been seen is a product of the legendary KAC company, the Light Assault Machine Gun (LAMG).
On top of the above, the guns are complemented by a weapon modeled on the Russian AK12 and a shotgun which was identified as the Benelli M3, although in my personal opinion it resembles the Remingtom M870 MCS design more.
The creators of the game also draw inspiration from products made by OPS CORE and Crye Precision. The screens show the FAST and Air Frame helmets with NVG mounts and the latest OPS CORE AMP active headphones/hearing protectors with external ARC mounting.
And finally, for some, it may seem a bit too futuristic, but not surprising for people who know the subject, the Boston Dynamics LS3 (Legged Squad Support System) robot, in a combat version. And as the game title states, it is 21 years in the future.
The robots of the American company have been tested in the US armed forces for some time, so far as "carriers" of equipment.
The game will probably feature other classic and more futuristic equipment. Are you waiting for the release?
