The Ops Core company, known for the production of FAST line of helmets, has presented a new model called the FAST XR High Cut at this year's Shot Show.
The helmet stands out from its predecessors in that it is able to stop a 7.62x39mm (AK) caliber bullet with a lead core.
The helmet is also equipped with accessory rails of a new type and a redesigned night vision mount, to which a bungee link securing the night vision device has been transferred. In previous versions, these lines were mounted on side accessory rails.
Team Wendy, the manufacturer of helmets, who is on the heels of Ops Core, also presented some interesting accessories. The first of the discussed products is the EXFIL Ballistic Visor, mounted on the EXFIL Ballistic or Carbon helmets via the EXFIL Rail 3.0.
Mounting is tool-free and the cover meets the ANSI Z87.1 2010 standard, among other things. The product is to be available in two sizes - 1 and 2.
Accessory weight is 158 g for size 1 and 162 g for size 2.
Team Wendy has also unveiled new EXFIL helmet pads for use in a water rich environment.
The pads are available in two varieties, designed for Ballistic helmets and Carbon helmets, respectively. According to the manufacturer's assurances, the Exfil Maritime ads are up to 20% lighter than standard TW pads made of Zorbium material. The difference is even more noticeable when the pads are wet - then they weigh up to 50% less than the standard Zrobium pads.
The pads are compatible with most helmets used on the battlefield today.
