The PSO MASKPOL S.A. company, which is part of Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa (PGZ), has posted a photo of a helmet intended for civilians on its social media. At the moment, it is not yet known where and for how much it will be available. However, it is known to withstand a 9mm FMJ round and a 1.1g 400<V50<500 fragment.
This is another ballistic protection product available on the civilian market offered by PSO MASKPOL S.A. Considering that the Maskpol HP-05 bulletproof combat helmet in a non-certified version can be purchased for just around 430 EUR, we secretly hope that thanks to striping the LHO-02 helmets of various accessories, it will allow to significantly reduce the price to around 750 EUR for an NIJ IIIA certified helmet.
At first glance, one can see a rail compatible with the Picatinny standard, enabling the installation of accessories such as tactical flashlights. It is also noticeable that the wearer's ears are protected quite well.
PSO MASKPOL S.A. is developing the offer of ballistics available on the civilian market with dedicated products. This can be reassuring, considering the fact that currently available products can be purchased only for the purpose of exporting them to the area covered by the armed conflict in Ukraine. Therefore, we hope that the new line will also be available on our market.
