On July 2 this year, the Japanese company called Smith Military Works, which creates custom-made replicas, announced the release of a replica of the Swedish Carl Gustav M45 submachine gun, which was made at the end of World War II. Interestingly, the replica is already sold out.

It has a folding stock, activated by pressing a lever. The magazine that is used in this replica is the one known from the German MP40. It is powered by a battery thinner than 34 mm, and the muzzle velocity generated by the replica is 246 FPS, which is 0.56 Joule using 0.20 g BBs. The photos show that the Japanese company took great attention to details. Consequently, comparing the replica and the original, it would probably be difficult to distinguish which is which.
