The suits filed against Russian airsoft shops and also against the French company Cybergun is not the end of the story. For some time now there were rumors about upcoming replicas made by the Kalashnikov Concern, which will bear the name "Strikeball". The current action undertaken by the company are probably nothing more than "preparing" the market before releasing their own series of airsoft carbines. Whats worse - the plans for their current actions are aimed not only at the Russian market by also on China, Europe and the USA.
According to the Kalashnikov CEO - Aleksey Krivoruchko, the first prototypes of the "Strikeball" series are ready and will be soon presented to certain people. Cooperation with popular airsoft manufacturers, under licence agreements, is also possible.
The airsoft market is not the only one in danger. The Kalashnikov Concern wants to make sure that their rights are respects in the world of video games in which the AK platform, including the AK-12, is widely used.
