We hereby inform all Friends and Sympathizers of shooting that on the 1st August 2017 my Beloved Father has ended his long fight for his life, a Man of great knowledge, JERZY CIEŚLA, the Chairman of the Garda Shooting Club.

The plans for the funeral services will be announced in a separate communique.

It is with great regret and pain that we inform you that on the 1st August 2017, at the age of 65, after a severe illness, inspector JERZY CIEŚLA has died, the creator and chairman, between 2006-2017, of the "Garda" Shooting Club from Ostróda, graduate of the Law and Administration Department at the University of Warsaw, prominent expert on the law regarding ownership of firearms and administrative procedures, a lifetime member of the Citizen Movement of Firearms Enthusiasts, an altruist, a friend of shooters, the Secretary of the Board and a Member of the College of Judges of the Warmia and Mazury Sport Shooters Association, long time collaborator of the "Broń i Amunicja" and "Strzał. Magazyn o Broni" magazines, sport shooting instructor, coach and sport shooting referee first class of the Polish Sport Shooting Association, distinguished with the Bronze Honorary Badge of the Polish Sport Shooting Association, retired Police inspector, long time criminal investigation officer in the Militia and the Police, Police Commissioner in Olsztyn, Chierf of Administrative Proceedings at the Voivodeship Police Headquartes in Olsztyn.
