According to information from anonymous sources, the US Army has currently stopped looking for a 7,62 mm caliber carbine, which would use as part of the ICSR (Interim Combat Service Rifle) program. The design, that would have been chosen, would replace the M4/M4A1 carbines. Yet, it was supposedly decided that there is no strong pressure to chance the weapon model being used and the search criteria were inaccurately described. It is very possible that a new program will emerge soon.
