The replicas to be released will be both airsoft and air gun ones - all with full markings and packaging similar to the real firearm. The first models will be available in November. The actual manufacturer, which will make replicas for Umarex, has not been disclosed. Yet, many thing indicate that ti might be VFC, with which Umarex is already cooperating on many projects. Our sources (#dalekizwiad) also say that VFC is the manufacturer of a Glock replica for Cybergun.
It is good news for airsofters as Umarex replicas are widely available on the civilian market. We wrote two years ago that Cybergun after Cybergun received that licence from Glock, it blocked the distribution of replicas of this pistol outside the uniformed formations market. Only recently has Cybergun announced that it intends to make their Glock replicas available on the civilian market.
