Crye Precision, a company that does not need to be introduced, "responsible" for introducing "tactical fashion" products such as the Combat Shirt, Combat Pants or the beloved and widely copied JPC carrier plate, announced on November 16 the release of their GEN 4 uniforms.
Information about the new product line appeared a few months ago, but now its availability has been announced to potential buyers.
The properly refreshed uniform system includes well-known components such as the Combat Shirt, Combat Pants, the Field Shirt and Field Pants. The first two components allow the use of "hard" AIRFLEX protectors. The Field series, described as a field uniform, is similar to classic uniforms, i.e. without AIRFLEX protectors and inserts of stretch or moisture wicking material.
The changes that are worth noting are the use of a new type of VTX Ripstop ™ stretch material and Invista T420 high strength nylon fibers. The new AIRFLEX protectors, which have been given a different texture, are compatible with products from previous generations. According to the manufacturer, they provide greater protection against impact than it is described in the EN14404 specfication.
The manufacturer from New York states that every effort has been made to ensure that the dimensions of all components are compatible, which was different in previous generations of uniforms. The GEN 4 line also has a more sporty look than the GEN 3 series, but the use of the stretch is to ensure greater comfort of use.
