On the last day, just before the announcement of the results and the distribution of prizes, participants of the race had the opportunity to see replicas of the Specna Arms' Edge series, which had been announced quite a long time ago.
A dozen or so replicas were presented. A common feature of the Edge series is a full metal design, including metal receivers with licensed Rock River Arms markings, the Orion gearbox, precision 6.03 mm brass inner barrels, HopUp chambers with a control ring placed perpendicular to the barrel, and electric wiring incorporating a MOSFET made by Gate company.
The Orion gearbox looks like this:
This is not a new type of frame, but rather a specific configuration. And it's "robust."
Inside: steel gears (sintered) with 8-millimeter ball bearings, an aluminum cylinder, an aluminum double-sealed cylinder head, an aluminum sealed nozzle, an aluminum double sealed piston head with a ball bearing, a piston with a full set of steel teeth and a spring guide with a ball bearing. In addition, low-resistance wires and the already mentioned MOSFET.
The replicas make a very good impression. Both on the visual side and in terms of the selection of parts and quality of assembly. We had the opportunity to thoroughly test one unit (the SA-E17). In the near future we will publish its detailed description.
