Most of us know Ridley Scott's movie "Black Hawk Down." The film was based on the book by Marek Bowden under the same title and tells the story of a battle that lasted more than twenty-hours where soldiers of the Delta Force, Seal Team Six, Army Rangers and the 10th Mountain Division fought against the forces of Farrash Adid between 3 and 4 October 1993.
While the accounts of Delta Force operators and Army Rangers are widely known, the accounts of the 10th Mountain Division members are sporadic or none at all.
WMASG got to the information about a new film produced by a US Air Force Colonel, Randall Larsen, who talked about the somewhat forgotten role of the soldiers of the said division in the Battle of Mogadishu. It was them that launched a rescue operation (after diplomatic perturbations) to help their encircled colleagues from Delta and Rangers.
