For airsoft players, sport shooters and servicemen, eye protection is invaluable. One can dare to say that for many years the market has been roughly divided between three companies: Oakley, WileyX and ESS. Of course, there are other companies that make glasses that provide ballistic protection such as Kaenon, Gatorz or Rudy Project but these are niche products due to their availability and often also the price.


MAGPUL, known to virtually to every player arisoft, due to the recognition of its brand and good reputation, has a chance to interest the members of one of the above-mentioned groups in its line of tactical goggles. Which one will it be? Time will tell. In the meantime, let's take a look at the soon-to-be released glasses by MAGPUL.

The design includes models from typical shooting/tactical ones through low profile and the so-called casual models.

The common features of MAGPUL glasses are:

- the material from which the frames are made is TR90NZZ polyamide plastic which, according to the company, is the strongest thermoplastic material used in the production of glasses;

- the lenses are made of polycarbonate and covered with an oleophobic coating that minimizes the formation of smudges on their surface and increases the resistance of the glasses to scratches.

  The lenses and frames are available in a wide range of colors. In case of lenses, we also have the option to choose models with or without polarity.

The frames are characterized by a low profile design, facilitating the use of glasses with shooting ears protection or communication headsets and a rubberized pad arms and temples ensuring comfortable wearing.

The Terrain and Summit model glass meet the ANSI Z87.1, ANSI/ISEA Z87.1 and MIL-PRF 32432 durability standards. According to the manufacturer's assurance, the lenses of other models are equally durable but do not have the above-mentioned certificates.

Prices for the new Magpul glasses are 149 USD for the Explorer XL, Summit, Terrain models, 139 USD for the Explorer model and 125 USD for the Radius model.
