According to the belsat.eu portal, the Belarusian Ministry of National Defense has added new means of fighting unmanned aerial vehicles to the arsenal of the Belarus army. The purpose of the new acquisitions is to prevent "illegal flights of unmanned aircraft over important military and civilian infrastructure facilities".
These countermeasures are the Turkish unmanned strike-reconnaissance aircraftBayraktar
Groza-S mobile radio station. The set can be mounted on the chassis of a Ford Transit or a Belarusian MZKT-V1 vehicle. The station can track drone movement within a radius of up to 50 kilometers and jam the transmitters to up to 30 kilometers.
The last element of the new system is the Groza-Rradio-electronic rifle, used to fight with quadcopters.
The weapon can fight with enemy drones at a distances of up to 5 kilometers.
An interesting fact is that the radio-electronic rifle was made on the basis of a Chinese airsoft carbine made by Cyma. The CM0011 is a replica of the Heckler & Koch G36C carbine.
