As we can read on the PTS fanpage, the company has started cooperation with B.E. Meyers & Co., Inc. on production of an airsoft replica of a laser sight module called PTS MAWL®.
The new product from PTS is a replica of the MAWL (Modular Advanced Weapon Laser) module, which is a slightly different design compered to most common laser sights mounted on small arms.
The manufacturer has departed from the typical form of a "box" known from, among others, the AN/PEQ-2 or AN/PEQ-15 design, using a shape similar to a tactical flashlight.
The module is mounted on the left or right side of the front at 45° relative to the top rail, allowing installation of tactical flashlights on the side sections of the rails (at 90°). According to the manufacturer's concept, the module's design, in addition to saving space on the front, is to provide more intuitive operation under stress, dark and gloved hands.
The release date of the new PTS MAWL® module is not known at this time, however, it will be soon announced on the manufacturer's website.
