Some time ago, we reported about a substantial contract for HSGI concerning their flagship TACO X2R pouches. 150,000 units of this model were ordered by the Marine Corps for its soldiers.
As it turns out, not only the USMC will benefits from the benefits of Cordura and polymer built product by HSGI. The latest contract for 30,000 TACO pouches is to be implemented as part of the new SDMR rifle program that Heckler und Koch will be providing for the US Army.
As you know, the rifle will be chambered for the 7.62x51mm NATO cartridge and will use larger magazines than the STANAG ones. The question is whether HSGI will provide any of its standard models or maybe some special one, dedicated for 7.62x51mm magazines?
