The Remington 700 rifle is a classic, both among sport and hunting shooters as well as in the armed forces. One could say that it is like the Glock among bolt-action rifles - popular, not too expensive (in basic versions), there are a lot of accessories for it, its reasonably reliable but has some flaws.
This time an attempt to improve the 700 was made by the KPYK company from Ukraine, known for the production of accessories for AK rifles, mounts for optics and chassis for other bolt-action rifles.
The CRC 7R003/4 chassis weighs approximately 1.8 kg. The manufacturer provides the necessary screws and tools (Allen key) necessary for assembly, and installation (according to online sources) takes about 45 minutes.
The chassis is compatible with the AR platform pistol grips and is also equipped with a buffer tube from the AR system.
Replacing the stock, however, seems unnecessary because the original one is robust and has the ability to be adjusted in virtually all planes the shooter can think of.
Unfortunately, according to the manufacturer's website, the stock should be bought separately, because for 450 USD we get a "bare chassis " with a buffer tube and a front with the M-LOK system and three 80 mm sections of mounting rails. KPYK's product is made of 7075 Т651 aluminum alloy (main part of the chassis) and 6082 T6 alloy (the hangduard with M-LOK system).
Finally, one important feature (especially for sport shooters) is that the chassis uses the AICS (Accuracy International Chassis System), popular and publicly accessible magazines.
The entire chassis is covered with a Cerakote coating in the Forest Green, Armor Black or Coyote Tan colors.
The chassis are available for Remington 700 rifles made in the long action and short action systems.
