The Fire School, a training center run by, among others, JACO, a former JWK operator, has presented a modern bullet trap construction system called RUBOX on its fanpage:
"RUBOX - THE MOST ADVANCED SAFETY DURING CQB TRAINING
An example of using the RUBOX Modular Ballistic System to build a bullet trap (4 m x 1.5 m) as a didactic tool in CQB training.
The construction time is 0.5 hours (for 3 people) without the use of specialized equipment and tools (ladder, rubber hammer, level). The pace of work is fast.
RUBOX walls allow to practically fire from any direction, for .223 FMJ rounds even at an angle of 16 degrees without ricocheting projectiles from the wall.
To date, the wall surface with a diameter of 20 cm works after sustaining 2800 shots (approximately 1000 FMJ PARA, 1000 7.62 mm FMJ, 800 FMJ 5.56/.223).
There are no armor plates or hardox in the walls. "

As you can see in the posted photos and video, the system works. The RUBOX system is expected to be available soon.
