A pistol, or rather an SMG with a cosmic name "Space Invader" has been created in a company founded in 2001 by John Noveske. The company is based in Grants Pass, Oregon, and manufactures high quality AR platform rifles.
Space Invader is the company's first "pistol". The weapon is offered in two barrel lengths: 8.5 and 10.5 inches. The first of these models is a PDW type weapon with a telescopic folding buttstock and with special notches on the upper receiver made to enable the installation of the above-mentioned stock. The pistol naturally has double-sided manipulators and charging handle and the barrel ends with a crown enabling attaching of a silencer (similar to that known from MP5 SMGs).
The 10.5-inch model has similar features, it is naturally distinguished by the length of the barrel and a stock with a standard buffer tube, known from most AR15 (Mil Spec) type rifles.
Both models are equipped with the MLOK mounting systems and the Super MCX SSA triggers from Geissele Automatics. An interesting thing is undoubtedly the fact that, unlike the majority of 9 mm AR models on the market, the Noveske products are feed using Colt 9 mm magazines, known from the Colt SMG model. Most of this type of weapon currently offered are feed from GLOCK magazines. Another curiosity is the use of an additional magazine release, similar to those known from MP5 SMGs or AK system carbines.
According to information found on the Internet, the first batch was to be delivered to buyers around 19 July. The manufacturer's price for Space Invader guns is 2,555 USD.
