The opener is made of brass, which, according to the manufacturer and the research it quotes, causes the virus to survive on the surface of the tool for a shorter period.

Naturally, the purpose of using this invention is to minimize the potential contact with contaminated surfaces. The manufacturer (and ... well, LOGIC) says that one should not believe that we will be able to avoid infection thanks to the opener 100% of the time. The manufacturer is in the process of collecting funds and estimates that the price for 1 opener will ba around $ 25 and assumes the end of production and start of sales around mid-May.
