Carl Walther has announced the release of old-new James Bond pistols.
The "new" Walther series includes 4 models in two kinds of finish: oxidized PPK and PPK/S and stainless steel PPK and PPK/S.
The pistols are chambered for the .380ACP/9mm Kurz round, with 6 (PPK) and 7 (PPK/S) rounds, single stack magazines. Both models have a Single Action/Double Action trigger with a decocker function activated by a safety lever. The PPK/S model weighs 670 g (unloaded), has an 84 mm long barrel, a trigger resistance of 2800 g (SA), and 6000 g (DA). The PPK model differs only in weight - 625 g.
The Walther PPK pistol (in 7.65 mm caliber) became popular in pop culture as the weapon of 007 agent James Bond, when in the film Doctor No it replaced his Beretta 418 caliber .25ACP.
