According to Chinese media, the People's Liberation Army is intensively testing the new QBZ-191 carbine. Unlike its predecessor, the weapon is constructed in a classic layout (the QBZ-95 is a bullpup design), but is still powered by the Chinese 5.8x42 mm ammunition, the first batches of which were reportedly known for the poor quality of gunpowder used in its production.
