There seems to be a growing competition for Altama OTB tactical sneakers, with our chief, Regodrn being among their proud users.
Airwalk, a skater footwear manufacturer and Fire Bird Skydiving, a parachute manufacturer announced a joint tactical footwear project called the Multicam Vic Project.
The shoes are slightly similar to the ALTAMA OTB high sneakers and will be offered in Multicam and Multicam Black camouflage. They differ from the above mentioned Altama product in terms of the flaps covering the laces and the rubber reinforcements at the first and second lacing. According to the manufacturer, minor changes in the final design of the shoes should be expected.
The new Ariwalk/Fire Bird Skydiving product is part of the trend of "militarization" of civilian clothing and footwear. It is worth mentioning Vans and its Defcon series, which can be safely called the pioneer of tactical sneakers.
