Some time ago, we wrote about the decision of the HK company to introduce the legendary MP5 submachine gun for sale on the civilian market. The SP5, as this is the market name of the civilian MP5, is available on the US market (or was as it quickly disappeared from the stores), but it was not available in Europe.
This time, once again, the new civilian MP5 will make its debut on the US market and it will be the MP5 PDW.
The SP5K PDW will be available in two configurations: with two 10-round or 30-round magazines. Both sets are priced at 2799 USD. The weapon will be delivered to the recipient in a nice looking case containing the SMG, magazines, sights adjustment tools and a carrying sling.
In contrast to the first civilian SP9K model, released in 2016, this one is to have a characteristic, original magazine release, similar to the one found in AK rifles, and a barrel with a thread and an adapter for silencers. Neither of these details can be found in the original civilian model.
The gun will be sold without the stock, due to US regulations classifying it as a pistol. Additional 10, 15 and 30-round magazines will be available for 80 USD.
